Privacy Policy — Bead Sudoku

Bead Sudoku is developed by VecTech (“we”, “us”). It is available in two forms:

The Android App, installed from Google Play.
The web version at beadsudoku.vectech-solutions.com, which runs in a web browser and can be added to your home screen (this is how iPhone and iPad users play).

This policy explains how both handle your information. Where they differ, each section says so.

The Android App is fully offline. It makes no network requests and we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data.

The web version is delivered over the internet by our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Apart from the technical data any website needs to deliver its pages (described below), we do not collect, sell, or share any of your data.

Information Stored on Your Device

Both versions store the following entirely on your device:

Game progress — the puzzle you are currently solving, your notes, and elapsed time.
Your collection — which bead patterns you have completed and how far along each one is.
Game records — the difficulty, duration, and outcome of each finished puzzle, used to show your best times and statistics.
Settings — theme, language, input mode, sound and motion preferences.
An anonymous device identifier — a randomly generated value stored alongside your save file. It is never transmitted. It exists so that a future version can offer optional cloud sync between your own devices; if that feature is ever added, this policy will be updated before it ships.

This data lives in your device’s local storage and is never uploaded to any server. We have no way to access it.

The Android App

Internet	Required by the Android system for the App’s internal display component to load its own bundled files from your device. The App does not connect to the internet.

You can verify this by playing with your device in aeroplane mode — everything, including generating new puzzles, works normally. The App requests no camera, location, contacts, storage, or notification permissions.

The Android App has never contained analytics of any kind, including during the period described under “Past use of analytics” below.

The Web Version

Hosting

The web version is hosted by Cloudflare. When your browser loads the site, it connects to Cloudflare’s servers, which necessarily process technical information about that connection — such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested — in order to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. This is handled by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy. We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you.

After the first visit, the web version keeps a copy of its own files on your device so that it works offline. When you are online, it checks our server for a newer version of the game.

The web version sets no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers.

Past use of analytics

Until September 2026, the web version used Cloudflare Web Analytics, a feature of our hosting account. It recorded anonymous, aggregate statistics about page visits:

the page visited and the site that linked to it,
the visitor’s country,
the browser, operating system, and device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet),
page-load performance.

According to Cloudflare, this feature does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint or track individual visitors. We could see only aggregate totals, never information about individual people.

We have turned this feature off. The web version no longer contains any analytics.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone. Neither version contains advertising SDKs, analytics, crash reporting, or third-party trackers. No fonts, sounds, or images are downloaded from external services — all sound effects are generated by the game itself, and all artwork is bundled with it.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because your game data is stored only on your device, you are in full control:

Export — Settings › Save data › Export writes your collection, beads, and records to a file you keep.
Delete (Android App) — uninstalling the App permanently removes everything it stored. You may also clear the App’s storage from your device settings.
Delete (web version) — clearing this site’s data in your browser settings permanently removes everything it stored.

We retain no game data, because we receive none.

Children’s Privacy

Bead Sudoku is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. If a future version introduces advertising, in-app purchases, or optional cloud sync, this policy will be updated before that version is released.

Change history

28 September 2026 — The policy now covers the web version as well as the Android App, and discloses the web version’s past use of Cloudflare Web Analytics, which has been turned off.
21 August 2026 — First version.
